Bugbrooke Community Resilience Group
Working Together in Times of Need
Bugbrooke Parish Council has launched a Community Resilience Group to strengthen our village’s ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies such as flooding, wildfires, serious accidents, and other disruptive incidents. These events can strike unexpectedly, and having a coordinated local effort in place can make all the difference—protecting vulnerable residents, reducing disruption, and fostering a united response.
This group will be made up of volunteers from across Bugbrooke who are committed to supporting one another when it matters most. Whether it’s identifying and checking in on those most at risk, helping distribute essential supplies, or coordinating communication, your participation can play a vital role in helping Bugbrooke stay safe and resilient.
We are currently seeking residents to help build the foundation of this team:
- Those who can help identify vulnerable individuals—including older adults, people with medical conditions, and those living alone
- Volunteers willing to be part of a core action team—ready to organise supplies, transport, and support during incidents
- Someone with an eye for detail who can create and maintain a telephone log or contact network, helping keep neighbours informed and connected when it matters most
If you’re able to lend your time, skills, or simply your local knowledge, we’d love to have you onboard. Together, we can build a village response that’s caring, swift, and effective.
