Welcome to the Bugbrooke Environmental Working Group – a passionate and proactive collective of local residents dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural environment in and around our beautiful village.
Founded by Bugbrooke Parish Council, our group was born out of a shared desire to respond to urgent global challenges—like climate change, habitat loss, and declining biodiversity—with meaningful, local action. We believe that small changes, when made together, can lead to big impact.
What We Do
We meet every other month on the first Wednesday, gathering ideas, energy, and expertise from across the community. Our meetings are open, friendly, and full of inspiration—whether you’re a lifelong environmentalist or just starting to explore how you can make a difference.
We work on a variety of projects, from tree planting and wildlife corridors to energy awareness campaigns and sustainable transport initiatives. Every voice matters, and every contribution helps us move closer to a greener Bugbrooke.
Our Objectives
We focus our efforts on three key areas:
Renewable Energy
Promoting the use of clean energy in homes, businesses, and public spaces—because every solar panel and heat pump counts.
Low Carbon Transport
Encouraging walking, cycling, and electric alternatives to reduce emissions and make Bugbrooke safer and more connected.
Wildlife & Biodiversity
Creating and preserving habitats where nature can thrive—from pollinator-friendly planting to hedgehog highways and bird boxes.

Environmental issues may be global, but the solutions start right here. By working together, we’re building a resilient, sustainable Bugbrooke—one that future generations will be proud to call home.
